Principal's Message

Welcome to St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic School...home of the Eagles! STA School is an elementary school located in Monterey Park, CA. We serve students in TK through 8th grade. At STA School we believe in providing an environment focused on the education of the whole child: body, mind, and spirit. 

 

Academically, we follow Common Core standards for Language Arts and Mathematics, state of California standards for History, Next Generation Science standards, and Los Angeles Archdiocese standards for Religion. We utilize technology in every classroom, using school owned devices in daily classwork, adaptive practice, and project-based work. We have recently updated our textbooks in all subjects across the school, with print and digital versions available to our students.  

 

Spiritually, we help our students nurture their relationship with God through daily Religion instruction, weekly school Masses, monthly family Mass, and various service projects. 

 

Enrichment opportunities include weekly music class, and after school activities such as: Academic Decathlon, Student Council, CYO sports teams, Tippy Toes Dance, Yearbook Club, and Chess.
